Everything hurts..
No I didnt fall off my bike, I went to HEAVY MTL !! Saw favorites girlschool, diamond head, and motorhead. Very fucking good, left before kiss though as the driver didnt wanna see em. Got home at 2 in the morning and had to drive (wife drove) 45mins to pick up our baby from my buddies place. Didnt get to bed until almost 4. Spent some time drinking beer whilest sitting at a picnic table we stuck in a waterfall. Ooogled some babes (Montreal rules) and had a time. An associate stuck a Indian motorcycle hat he found onto my drunken head. Girlschool and Diamond head were in-fucking-credible and Motorhead was amazing as usual. Was really excited on the ride home about riding my bike today. Whenever I woke up from my drunken stupor I would dream about it. Not sure why I thought I would be up to that, I havnt left the couch all day.

Been a while
So whats been going on?
Got 2 exhausts from xs650direct.com and man on man they sound good. Bike seems to like them as well. Its fucking running like shit below 3000rpm though so that sucks. Been that way for a while. Oh well I suppose ill dive into it tomorrow. Pulled the rear wheel off to see if there were in fact new brake pads inside and indeed there is. Rear brake fucking sucks, I might take it off again and go over the pads in inside of the drum with some sand paper and remover the thin layer in case there is some contamination. Didnt see anything terrible but oh well. Its a good thing I left y wallet in the truck cus I was THIS close to ordering some more goodies for my bike just a minute ago. I'll wait and see for now and perhaps order them sunday if I still think I can afford them.
Im almost done my Olde E, fuck.

ugh
I'm hungover.... I wanna go and ride but I'm just too fucking tired. Went to Punx Picnic yesterday in Montreal. It was nice seeing everyone again. My friend Raquel came up and relieved us of our baby for good half hour so we could relax and have fun.
As a bonus I never paid the $15 parking fee and didnt get a ticket! FTW

British racing green...
on an XS650. Sounds like an awesome idea, but requires proper application. Flat black however is best applied with a rattle can and is much much easier and cheaper.
ever hear that inepsy song?
bah bah BAHHHH you know the law is my enemy BAh Bah bah road is the way for me
They say that I'm wrong
Sorry I feel the power of the horse so strong..
Fuck that song kicks some ass. I was talking to my buddy who lives down in Rochester today about our upcoming trip. All secondary highways, Ottawa, Toronto, Kingston, Cornwall. Montreal, should be fun. Also rethinking my idea that Brit bikes are too expensive and hard to work on. I think I should save a couple grand and go down to the states some time and bring back a Ironhead and a Triumph as both are nigh on impossible to find here in Canada at reasonable prices. That would be nice to look out the backdoor at! A XS650 a Triumph cafe racer and a Ironhead chopper. That would be nice for sure.... I'll have to buy some more tools.

And another thing!
I'm sick of this proud to be American/Canadian/Retarded bullshit that is so ingrained in biker culture. What the fuck is up with that. Gad I dont think I'll ever understand what building/riding sweet bikes has to do with"merica". As Andrew once said "AMERICA!, makes you proud just saying it, AMERICA!". These proudest americans are a joke. Are you trying to make up for the fact that you arnt accepted by the public at large? Hey we might be dirty bikers but we love our country, so accept us? Seems a little pathetic to me.
I guess Ill never be a "biker" just a MotorPonx.

XS650
This is painfull.. I just found a 78 XS650 for sale about an hour from here. Its been stripped down and is ready to have the rear chopped off. The guy has a "pro made" rigid rear ready to weld on, as well as all the origional parts. Worst part is he only wants $600 for it. If I wasnt living in this cramped fucking townhouse I'd be all over that shit.! I know I was saying that I would have a chopper till the right one came along, and man would this fit the bill. I think having a XS chopper, and XS cafe racer, and a stock XS seems reasonable. In time though. I still need to sell my cb350.
Oh well I suppose that Ill just have to try and convince someone I know to buy it.

Well here we are
I've finally joined in with the rest of the herd and got myself a blog. I suppose that facebook wasn't quite stoking my ego the way I wanted it to. Really I decided to go on this path of digital masturbation to enable me to follow some bike builders that I really admire. I have no use for the OCC style "custom" chopper scene, I don't like the style or the store bought attitude. I myself don't own a chopper, and I doubt that unless I find just the right bike for it, I never will. I'm a huge fan of air cooled parallel twins, Japanese or British. I think there is just something about them that really turns me on. I have a friend in the states who builds 70's style choppers with his buddies with old iron head bikes they find cheap, and that's fine for them. Me personally, its all about the sound and feel of a parallel. My current ride is a 74 Yamaha XS650 that I picked up from another bike nut in Ottawa. He had put some money into it until he realised that he didn't need 11 bikes. The PO had put on some side cut slip on pipes with no baffles what-so-ever. Apparently they had never heard of prepping bodywork for paint (or using gasoline resistant paint) cus the army green is quickly peeling away to reveal the yellow on the tank and side covers.
